ABOUT
French-American architecture designer Cooper Copetas graduated from the University of Miami School of Architecture and Urban Design. He began his career working with Jean Nouvel in Paris before founding a Smart City design lab in Miami, which earned him the key to the county. At 25, his proposal to renovate Notre-Dame-de-Paris appeared on the cover of Time magazine and won the 2020 American Institute of Architects Theoretical and Research Design Award. He works across multiple languages and combines hands-on experience in parametric design with a strong foundation in classical architecture. While he has worked internationally, many of his built projects are in Vietnam. Cooper is a co-founder of Magma, a global architecture and real estate tech firm, where he leads as principal designer and Chief Innovation Officer. He also runs WAADL, a site that shares current events, architecture, and history through cartoons and short stories.
